Salt Spring Island Parks and Recreation Commission (PARC) is thrilled to announce the opening of their new Rainbow Road Pool, which opened to the public on May 17, 2008. The pool, eagerly anticipated by Salt Spring Island residents, is the island’s first year-round, indoor swimming complex and features a six lane multi-purpose pool and a 14 person whirl pool. Rainbow Road replaces Shelby Memorial Pool, an outdoor, above-ground pool which was open during the summer from 1991-2007.
